Water lily is Thailand, Bangladesh, India, Cambodia's national flower. In ancient Greece, ancient Rome, water lily and China's lotus, was regarded as holy, beautiful incarnation, often served as a goddess of sacrifice. In the New Testament, there are also "holy things, out of silt and not dye". So it represents the holy and noble wise man, but also praise the noble woman.
