蓝翔总经理陈凤翔是酒泉制种行业内第一个花卉育种专业毕业的“科班生”。从毕业起，他就立志要做花卉育种事业，毕业两年后组建了蓝翔，“那时候大环境好，公司成立时就租了200亩基地，虽然只有几十亩有订单。”不过，他并没有因为生意好做，就走赚快钱的路，而是一开始就本着制种要自律的原则。“卖出去的种子要对得起自己，不能为了赚钱把人格丢了。”陈凤翔说。
